For us, this sanctuary is far more than just a house; it is a living, breathing labor of love that we built to share with those seeking stillness, depth, and reconnection.

As the founder and artisan behind Dandelion Kitchen, Beata brings her lifelong expertise in holistic, vegan, and vegetarian culinary arts to our mountain home. Across the country, people experience her hand-blended teas and spices; here at Ferntop, that same spirit of mindful nourishment infuses every detail of your stay — from warm, welcoming herbal infusions to a kitchen designed for slow, intentional meals.

Building With Nature

"While my weekdays are spent navigating the energy of Manhattan, my true passion lies 2,400 feet up in these hills — working with raw wood, soil & rocks, minimizing our footprint, and honoring the natural landscape." — Santanu

The beautiful pine panels were sourced from a quality, family owned, local sawmill. The custom woodwork, like the shelves, the outdoor firepit benches, and the timber planters were hand built by Santanu. The goal was simple: bring the textures of the Catskill forest indoors, so you are surrounded by it as much as possible.

We created Ferntop as an invitation to live differently, even if only for a few days.

When you step onto these 12 acres, surrounded by native ferns, foraging wildlife, and hundreds of acres of protected forest, we hope you feel the deep, grounding rhythm of the mountains and inspire a different way of living.
